Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals, who reached the final for the first time, to clinch a historic title in IPL 2020.

Following the successful organization of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), BCCI has started the process for next year's IPL 2021. Whether there will be an auction for the IPL in 2021 or not, the number of teams is increasing.

There are also two groups in the franchise from the auction and all these will be decided by BCCI after Diwali or in the first-second week of December. But, according to BCCI sources, there are two teams to grow in IPL 2021 and one of them will be from Ahmedabad, which is almost certain. Adani Group is reportedly insisting on one of the two teams.

Mumbai Indians clinched the historic title by defeating Delhi Capitals, who reached the final for the first time. In this league, Chennai Super Kings could not reach the playoffs for the first time in history. Therefore, CSK wants to form a new team for the 2021 IPL.
