Will Pacowski, 22, has been named in the national team for his part in Australian domestic cricket. The selectors selected Pokovsky for the four-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India. Along with Warner, he is likely to play as an opener.

Pacowski of Victoria has scored two consecutive double centuries in the last two matches of the Sheffield Shield. He scored 1720 runs in 22 first-class matches overall, averaging 55.48.

Along with Pokovsky, four other players in the 17 - man squad have yet to play Tests for Australia. Cameron Green, Michelle Swepson, Michael Nesser,Sean Abbott was selected to the team. The first Test between the two teams will take place in Adelaide from December 17.
