The three-match T20 series between New Zealand and the West Indies begins today. The first match was played at Eden Park in Auckland. The Kiwis won the toss and elected to field, inviting the Windies to bat.


The match was reduced to 16 overs due to rain. The Windies lost 7 wickets in the allotted overs and scored 180 runs as captain Kieran Pollard and Fabian Allen played aggressively.

After losing 5 wickets for 59 runs, the pair managed to score a massive 84 runs.

The hosts, who were bowled out for 176 by Duckworth-Lewis rules due to the match being shortened, are currently batting. At the end of 10 overs he lost 4 wickets and scored 118 runs.
